Meet Charlie, the heart of our mission
Our journey began with the story of just one dog, Charlie, a deeply loved member of the family. One morning, his owner noticed a sudden lump on his abdomen. A visit to the vet soon revealed the worst possible news, stage four metastatic cancer.
Charlie’s family wanted to explore every possible treatment option, but the disease had already progressed too far. There was nothing more that could be done and just 24 hours later, they had to say goodbye.
Charlie’s cancer wasn’t rare. It was simply discovered too late. Charlie Pet Health exists so families like Charlie’s can detect disease earlier, when there is still time, more treatment options available, and hope.

Charlie Pet Health was founded by a medical technologist and healthcare executive with over 15 years of experience in radiology and healthcare AI.
After seeing how preventative diagnostics has transformed early disease detection in human healthcare, he set out to help make these approaches more accesible in pet care, supporting earlier detection and ongoing monitoring.
Today, Charlie brings together a team of veterinarians, healthcare professionals, engineers, and experienced founders and operators, working together to advance a more proactive, data driven approach to pet care.

Charlie Pet Health incorporates advanced cancer screening into our Charlie memberships for senior dogs and breeds at higher genetic risk of lymphoma.
We screen for B-cell and T-cell lymphoma, two of the most commonly diagnosed cancers in dogs. Early detection enables more treatment options and a better prognosis.

If you’re unsure, we’ll review your pet’s medical history and risk profile during your initial consultation and develop a preventative testing plan.
Your journey begins with an initial telehealth consultation where our team reviews your pet’s medical history and develops a preventative testing plan.
Testing is then conducted through our network of trusted veterinary clinics or from the comfort of your home with a mobile veterinary visit. Once results are available, a vet will walk you through the findings, discuss your pet’s results and any recommendations.
Most blood test results are available within 2–3 days, depending on the type of testing performed.
During your initial consultation, the vet will schedule a follow up appointment to review the results and walk you through the findings and any recommendations.
If any abnormalities are identified, the vet will explain the findings and recommend appropriate next steps. This may include additional testing, monitoring, or referral to one of our specialist partner clinics for treatment.
